GOD is not a seasonal GOD.
GOD is not a seasonal GOD.

GOD IS  NOT

A SEASONAL GOD...

In a world where 'fasting' has become an archaic term,

and 'prayer' seems a duty for only a select few,

along with 'almsgiving' that often resembles a self-gratifying spectacle...

The three challenges of the Lenten Season are outlined above. For many, this season is merely a part of our Catholic tradition, which we strive to uphold and continue. Participation often begins on Ash Wednesday and then life proceeds as usual. It is not until the Easter Triduum commences that many will once again reflect on God's love.

God is not merely seasonal or historical. He transcends beyond the celebrations of Christmas and Easter, being a God for all occasions."

Awe and Wonder

Everybody's busy. We are always in a hurry... trying to catch up who or what... We never look around - we dash, we run, we walk so fast as if chasing someone or as if being chased.

LIFE might be a race, but GOD perhaps never intend to give us a number or a code, more so to compete with each other.

We are all encouraged to finish our earthly battle with Faith, Hope and Love AND be excited to enter the Eternal life.

Running and rushing might be needed at times but the most important is how we live each moment and how we appreciate with awe and wonder every little thing that GOD has made.

The  li'l child in you...

When we were still children, we're so in a hurry to become Adults so we act, speak and tried to dress up as adults. And now that we have already reached the age we wanted, we started to feel insecure and wished we were still young.

Today, we celebrate the Feast of Sto. NiƱo, the childhood of Jesus -- short but meaningful and the mark of God's stupendous love for us. He entered our sinful world, decided to live among us and fearlessly took the risk of being an innocent and fragile child just to make us realize how much He loves us.

We are being challenged today to renew and activate the child within us - not the childish acts but the child-like virtue of innocence, honesty and humility... and to wear that genuine smile from the heart.
